Orynycz.com (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the Orynycz.com website (the “Service”).
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service.
We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use.

Who We Are
Orynycz.com is operated by Petro Orynycz, Edgewater, Maryland, USA. He is responsible (the “controller”) for the personal information described in this policy.

Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information: your name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form) and profile details, if you create an account.
- Purchase information: what you bought, when, and your billing country. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, and we never see your card number.
- Messages: anything you send us through a contact form or by email.
- Translator data: the text you translate and the result. See “The Translator” below.
- Technical data: log data and cookies, described below.
The Translator
When you use our translator, we store the text you enter, the translation we return (in Cyrillic and Latin script), the time, the language options you chose and your plan type (for example, free or Pro). We use this to keep the translator working well and to improve our translation models. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the Service.
We also look up your approximate city and country from your IP address. This lookup happens on our own server and uses no outside service. We do not store your IP address. Translator records are not linked to your account, name, email address or any cookie.
To produce the translation, your text is sent to Hugging Face, Inc. (United States), which runs our translation models. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the translator.
Submitted and translated text is deleted automatically after 30 days. The remaining statistics (time, city, country, language options and text length) are deleted after 13 months. To have something you translated removed sooner, email support@orynycz.com with the text you entered and we will delete it.
Account, Compliance, and Fraud-Prevention Checks
If you create an account, purchase a paid feature, or access certain parts of the Service, we may collect and use account and transaction information such as your name, email address, profile information, attestation responses, and limited technical data. We may use this information to provide the Service, secure accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, process payments, enforce our policies, and comply with legal obligations.
We may screen limited registration or transaction information against official sanctions or restricted-party sources, such as the U.S. Consolidated Screening List published by the U.S. International Trade Administration, for compliance, fraud-prevention, and account-security purposes. We keep minimal records of those checks and related decisions for accountability and compliance purposes. We do not store full raw screening responses by default.
Where applicable, we rely on lawful bases such as contract performance, legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations. Our legitimate interests include securing the Service, preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing our Terms, and complying with sanctions and other legal requirements.
Log Data
We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and troubleshooting, and are then deleted.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use cookies that are needed for logging in, for the translator to work and to remember your cookie choices.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used. If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner. Until you do, Google may receive limited signals that do not use cookies. Elsewhere, analytics cookies are on by default.
You can change your choice at any time using the cookie icon at the bottom of the page. You can also block cookies in your browser, but some parts of the Service may then not work.
Service Providers and International Transfers
We use the following providers. Each one processes data only on our behalf, or as described below:
- Kinsta and Google Cloud: website hosting
- Hugging Face (USA): translation processing
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (USA): website statistics, as described under “Cookies”
- Lemon Squeezy (USA): payments. As our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy sells our paid plans and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy.
- Microsoft (USA): sending email
- U.S. International Trade Administration: checking names against the official sanctions list, as described above
Some of these providers are located outside the European Union and the United Kingdom. Where that applies, we rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
- Translator text: 30 days. Translator statistics: 13 months.
- Account information: while your account is open. We delete it when you ask us to, unless we must keep part of it for a legal reason.
- Purchase records: as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Sanctions-screening records: OFAC recordkeeping rules can require full and accurate records to be kept for at least 10 years for covered transactions.
- Server logs: a short period, as described under “Log Data”.
Copies may remain in our hosting provider’s backups for a short period after deletion.
Your Rights
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or a place with similar laws, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To use any of these rights, email support@orynycz.com. We will reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
If you are in the United States: we do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Links To Other Sites
Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Children’s Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.
Compliance With Laws
We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the date at the top.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
