I&#8217;m coming at you from Incheon, South Korea, which is on the Yellow Sea. You might remember from history lessons, if you&#8217;re from the United States, that near here is where General MacArthur landed in 1950 in the Korean War against the Koreans, the Communist North. Anyway, this place is incredible. This is a designed city. They just built this from scratch. This water is from the Yellow Sea and there was nothing here and they just built this crazy metropolis, crazier than anything I&#8217;ve even seen. this is crazier than Manhattan it seems like, or most of Manhattan for that matter. Incredible. But the weird thing is it&#8217;s freaking quiet here. It&#8217;s like a ghost town or something. It&#8217;s deserted, but there&#8217;s some people here, but not many. And it&#8217;s a huge contrast to Seoul, which was just a teeming, vibrant, Halloween-ing Asian mega city. And this is an Asian, what do you call it, planned city. But it&#8217;s very, very quiet. There&#8217;s nobody here. So yeah, this place is cool. AI news. So this weekend, I haven&#8217;t really been keeping up with the news, but in my own work, I&#8217;ve been trying to use the AI to recover old, poor quality texts, poor quality scans. And the artificial intelligence is getting good that I think the text recovery is going to get a lot, lot better. So that&#8217;s pretty exciting. There&#8217;s a lot of good material out there, but it&#8217;s just buried in poorly scanned facsimile copies, if you want to call it that. Facsimile? Facsimile. Latin. Latin word of the day. That&#8217;s where fax comes from, Because it&#8217;s like from Latin, facsimile, make similar, Make similar. Faci means make. Faci. My Latin pronunciation is bad. Anyway, I&#8217;m rambling.
